“It came in the form of a YouTube video that showcased the work of Ivan Owen. Owen had used a 3D printer to make a
prosthetic hand for a five-year-old boy back in 2011.”
That was Liam! (Dippenaar?) Liam was (Prop Maker) Ivan’s very first hand customer. Liam tested all the prototypes, and is justifiably proud. Richard Van As had collaborated with Ivan to build Richard some innovative prosthetic fingers. The two announced their progress on FaceBook, where Liam’s mother jumped at the chance to help Liam. That’s how it all started. (https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/robohand#/)
